We are always on the lookout for Volunteers!

Our garden volunteers come from a range of diverse backgrounds, whether you are looking to make a career change, to gain more gardening experience and improve your CV.

You may be currently working or retired and looking for an opportunity to meet likeminded people, make lasting friendships and have fun. We welcome experienced gardeners to complete beginners. All you need to bring with you are gardening boots, warm and waterproof clothes, some lunch and have your own transport and Fairlight Hall’s very friendly and knowledgeable garden team will provide the rest to help you get involved in this beautiful garden.

Fairlight Hall, has 10 acres of stunning decorative gardens including; cut flowers, decorative borders & container displays, exotic borders, glasshouses, Herbaceous borders, lawns, meadows, nursery, Organic vegetable production, Organic fruit production.

Volunteering does not even need to just be about gardening.  For those who don’t perhaps have the physical strength and stamina but wish to be involved don’t be deterred, there is potting on plants and propagation in the nursery and glasshouse to be done, in addition to pot and label washing. There is always something to do.

Though a private family home, the gardens and grounds of Fairlight Hall are often open to the public throughout the year. The garden is open to the gardening public on a monthly basis, with other events such as music concerts and plays drawing the wider public.
